Reflex Instruments, part of the Imdex Group, were delighted to receive a special commendation in the C.Y. O’Connor Award for Excellence in Engineering and Technology as part of the 2010 Western Australian Industry and Export Awards.

Reflex Instrument’s ACT II RD, the fastest core orientation tool in the world and the highest rapid decent capacity, received the special commendation at the Awards gala dinner ceremony on 22 October 2010.

The Western Australian Industry and Export Awards acknowledge the innovation, hard work and success of business in reaching new markets and acknowledge the contribution WA businesses make to the local economy through job creation and increased prosperity in the community.

“The product’s popularity has grown in the past five years since we made it available, becoming the preferred tool for drilling professionals – it’s the most effective tool for its purpose. Significant research and development was devoted to the tool, and we’re very proud that it’s been recognised in Western Australia in this way”, said Kelvin Brown, Global Product Manager for Reflex.

The C.Y. O’Connor Award for Excellence in Engineering and Technology promotes excellence in engineering, technology, medical technology, information technology and/or technical research and development.
